Really enjoyed my very nice stay on vacation. The location was particularly good and perfect - just walking distance from everywhere I wanted to go. I ate at the in-house restaurant near the hotel. All the dishes where outstanding, nevertheless you can visit nearby Chef's Choice Noodle Bar...

Newly furbished, spacious rooms and bathrooms.
A strange noise from the ventialtion systems (not the aircon) went on throughout the night. Most disconcerting, given that otherwise the room was very comfortable.

Rooms were well furnished and modern. Beds were very comfortable.
The hotel lobby is a nightclub, so be prepared to make an entrance into ghetto/hoochieville upon checking in. Very loooooud music resonates throughout the stories. We were on the third floor, and the music was almost audible enough to make out eubonics. The constant bass thumps did not help with sleep after a long day of driving. When checking in, valet guys are not outside, so if you're lucky, you may find a temporary parking spot to park in while you hunt them down. Would highly recommend to the staff that they need two very distinct entrances to their establishment ... one for hotel customers...another for hoochie and thugs.

Why didn't I try this sooner?
The stylish and chic vibe enveloped us. Our corner room offered amazing views, and the bed was astoundingly comfortable-like sleeping on a cloud! The friendly staff was attentive, and the location was perfect for exploring local architecture. I can't believe I waited so long to experience this.

One of the most beautifully renovated hotels I have ever seen. My husband and I lived looking at the architecture and were amazed at well they blended luxury and Bakersfield oil and industry. Every attention to detail was not overlooked.
Wish they had a pool or spa.

The convenience of having fine dining and a couple of bars right on the property make it almost unneeded to leave! Also, their beds are by far the most comfortable I have slept in.

We stayed in the Padre Hotel for one night as a stop-over on our way from Las Vegas to San Francisco and it was really lovely. Very convenient from the freeway and the hotel is lovely, really modern and quirky. I loved the modern decor in the lobby, bar/lounge and in the room. The staff were very helpful particularly Nick at reception who gave us vouchers for breakfast the next morning and was really pleasant and helpful - thank you!. The food in the bar/lounge was also really nice - we would definitely recommend this hotel.
The only negative we had was that there were 2 double beds in the room but both were very small for 2 people! Also would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
